    Sigrid Sutter is an actor and teaching artist specializing in voice and classical text. Since moving to Minneapolis in 2008, she has performed locally with Red Eye Theater, Minnesota Shakespeare Project, The Strange Capers, Workhouse Theatre Company, Jungle Theater, and Classical Actors Ensemble, of which she is a founding member and Director of Company Development. 

ABOUT

    Sigrid grew up in Los Angeles suburbia, studied drama in England and French in France, and began her acting career in San Francisco doing award-winning theatre, film and national commercial work for top companies including Dove, Verizon Wireless & Western Union. She completed her formal actor training at Shakespeare Theatre Company in residence at George Washington University, earning her MFA in Classical Acting under the direction of Michael Kahn.  She continues to hone her craft by attending physical theatre workshops whenever possible.

   

    Her teaching experience includes acting, Shakespeare and voice classes at the Guthrie Theater, Macalester College, Red Eye Theater/Perpich Center for Arts Education, Hennepin Theatre Trust and the St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, where she is a faculty member. She is also a certified mat Pilates instructor and owner of Vital Breath Pilates. She is passionate about language, French bistro fare and the Twin Cities’ arts scene.
